The Bhaskar Group is one of the largest media groups of the country and is the largest read newspaper group in the country with over 2.67 crore readers.
The new wave of private FM radio which started in 1999 prompted the group to make a foray in FM where the group decided to apply as a serious contender in the second round of license allotment by the Government.
In order to utilize the immense print potential of the group in some of the major cities and towns of the country, the group strategically bid for 18 licenses and won 17 out of them, the only one left out being Baroda.

The Brand
The brand was decided as MY FM. As it is a right reflection of the one-to-one relationship with an emotional ownership of the medium with the listeners. The Brand operates at the single frequency : 94.3 over all stations.
Now the brand id is “94.3 MY FM Dil Se”.
The ROLL OUT
The First Station :
Jaipur the first station was launched on 28th May, 2006 . Within 3 months of it’s launched, MY FM had a listenership of 52%, more than all other stations put together ( Reference according to IMRB Radiator survey,). The audience was listening to MY FM in car as well as at home.Competition – Radio Mirchi, Radio City , S FM, Radio Tadka.
The Second Station :
The second station was launched in Chandigarh on 19th Febaruary, 2007 with a unique concept of “Music Weds Masti”.
The Third Station :
The third station was launched in Jalandhar on 19th April, 2007 .
The Fourth station:
Bhopal launched.
The Fifth station:
Udaipur launched.
The Sixth station:
Ahmedabad launched.
The Seventh station:
Amritsar launched.
